Tabouret Métallique is a practical stool which can also be used as a small side table, exhibits structural affinities with the later Trapèze table.

Tabouret was designed by French designer, architect and engineer Jean Prouvé. Prouvé’s work encompasses a wide range of objects. The list includes a letter opener, door and window fittings, lighting and furniture, façade elements, prefabricated houses, modular building systems, large exhibition structures – essentially, almost anything that is suited to industrial production methods.
In close cooperation with the Prouvé family, Vitra began in 2002 to issue re-editions of designs by this great French constructeur.
