Hida Tevere Arm Chair

Description

The Tevere side chair is made of compressed Japanese cedar in 2 polyurethane finishes, with a steel frame. In 2003, Hida Sangyo met Enzo Mari and the Hida project was launched. In this project, Enzo Mari, together with a young and passionate in-house design team, researched and developed a work ethic based on transformation and necessity.

Enzo Mari works in different directions, from graphics to design and architecture. In 2002 the Faculty of Architecture of the Milan Polytechnic awarded him an honorary degree in industrial design. His works are exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the Milan Triennale, the Schloss Charlottenburg in Berlin, the M.I.C. of Faenza, at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, at the MoMA in New York and at the Milan Triennale. For the caliber of his research, he was awarded many prizes including four Compasso d’Oro.
