Description
Don is a furniture series designed by Swedish interior designer Daniel Östman, exclusively for Nordiska Galleriet. The series includes both an armchair and a sofa, where each piece of furniture is characterized by understated form, precise proportions and a strong material presence.
The Don sofa is generously dimensioned with a deep seat, carefully balanced back angle and a balanced center of gravity that creates a combination of comfort and stability. The shape is strict but inviting, and the manufacturing in Italy ensures the highest precision – from sewing to alignment. The frame is constructed of wood and stuffed with high-quality goose down, spherical fiber and polyurethane foam, which gives a firm but comfortable feel. The upholstery is available in Designer’s Choice combinations, where base and accent textiles are curated by Östman to create a confident whole. The customer can also choose from a wide selection of materials and colors to adapt the sofa to their home.Don is a direct extension of Östman’s work with interiors, where the exclusivity lies not in the grandeur but in the tactile – how the materials meet, how the seams fall and how the body rests in the proportions.
