Description
This is a #957 Armless Side Chair, initially designed by Hans Wegner for Johannes Hansen in 1955. This example dates to the 1960s and was produced in Denmark. The design features a teak frame, and has a curved seat and back. We have had the piece freshly reupholstered in a fine cognac Italian leather. The #957 was not widely produced, and it is rather rare to spot one in the marketplace.
The chair measures 19.69 inches deep, 21.26 inches wide, and 31.11 inches high. It has a seat height of 16.93 inches. The leather is in pristine shape, and the frame looks fresh. There are some light scratches and scuffs on the legs. Overall, this chair is in very good condition. Please see photos.
