Description
This is a DSR Chair, originally designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1951 for Herman Miller. These particular examples were produced in the 2010s. The chairs feature plastic shells in yellow, and have Eiffel bases made of steel with a chrome finish. DSR is an acronym for Dining Height Side Chair Rod Base.
These have Vitra stamps on the shells (which would imply European market production). It’s also possible that Herman Miller had a supply shortage and distributed the Vitra examples. Regardless, these are licensed original examples as shown in the shells.
The listed price includes one chair and there are three available to purchase.
Each chair measure 22 inches deep, 18.5 inches wide, and 31.125 inches tall, with a seat height of 17.5 inches. These pieces show light wear from previous use, including minor scratches. Overall, they are in good to very good condition. Please see photos.
