Description
This is a Swedish music stand, initially designed by Bruno Mathsson for Firma Karl Mathsson in 1936. This piece dates to 1968 and was produced in Sweden. The design features a tubular steel base, and has a top adorned with both solid ash and birch veneers. The table is adjustable in both height and angle. It could also potentially double as a shorter podium or as a book stand. This silhouette was initially created to complement Mathsson’s “Pernilla” lounge chair.
The stand measures 22 inches wide, 15.25 inches deep, and is 32 inches tall while at its current height. Its height range is from 29 to 41 inches. There is some normal light wear from use. Overall, this piece is in very good vintage condition. Please see photos.
