Description

This is an Eames Compact Sofa, Model S-473, initially designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1954. This particular example dates to 1984 and is upholstered in its seemingly original Miller Stripe Fabric by Alexander Girard. It has a chromed-steel frame, polyurethane foam cushions, and fabric-reinforced rubber webbing.

This sofa measures 30 inches deep, 72.5 inches wide, and 35 inches high. It has a seat height of 16 inches. There are some scuffs on the legs, and some wear apparent to the upholstery, including some loose threads. Overall, this sofa is in very good original condition. Please see photos.
